Home - Hooray!

We are so glad to be home.  There is definitely different dynamics here at home with the kids, but we would not trade it for the world.   They bring us joy and happiness - even amid the chaos.

We came home on Monday.  I started chemotherapy on Wednesday.  I am doing the 5 days on, 2 days off, 5 days on, 2 days off, then 1 week off chemo cycle.  It is interesting trying to control the nausea from the chemotherapy and the pain from the surgery.  TOO MANY PILLS - if you ask me.  I am recovering well.  I met with the doctor on Wednesday and she said all looks well.  Keep up the prayers - they are working.

We are trying to get everything in place for another trip in August.  There is a trial medication they are offering in NYC.  We have to get the funding in place since it involves a surgery to place a catheter into the stomach in which they would inject the medication.  Angela is working diligently to find a way to pay for the surgery.  There is another trial medication in Maryland that would involve flying out for a few days and getting the medication.  Since there is not a "cure" for my type of cancer, the doctors are saying to try anything that is being offered in hopes that it prolongs my life.

We are so thankful to everyone that helped take care of our children while we were gone.  Thank you to everyone who brought in meals.  We have felt loved and supported this entire time.  There is no way that we could have made it this far without your love, support, prayers, and sacrifices in our behalf.

We know that Heavenly Father is watching over us and guiding us.  He will lead us down the path that He has prepared - the one that leads to eternal life with our eternal family.  We will keep trying to do our best to keep His commandments.  We love you all.
