Merry Christmas Everyone! I love this time of year. I love the Holiday Season and all of the good cheer that we extend to one another. I love the increased love and compassion. I love the focus on our Savior Jesus Christ, His life and teachings. I look forward to the Christmas season all year long.
I am so thankful for my Savior Jesus Christ and my Father in Heaven. They have given my family many blessings over the years. We never cease to be amazed at the mercy, compassion, and love they extend to us through the Holy Ghost and though all of our family and friends, and even strangers. We are watched over in so many ways.
GREAT NEWS!!! The new chemotherapy that I have been taking is working!! I had a scan on Tuesday and a doctor's appointment Thursday. The scan showed that the tumors had not grown at all since the scan in November and that the metabolic activity has decreased. WOOOOHOOO!!!!! I have no new tumors either.
It was really nice to go into the doctor's appointment and be met with upbeat doctors that are excited to show you the results of a test. It was a significant contrast to our November appointment when they told us the tumors were growing. My heart aches for the doctors that have to deliver the disappointing news of disease progression. I know they do all in their power to help the patients overcome the disease.
So, since the current chemo is working, we are going to do three more cycles and another scan in the latter part of February. We are praying for more good news at that time.
I have been very blessed while on this chemotherapy. The side affects have been minimal and I have not had a significant drop in energy. I have so much to be thankful for.
I love you all. Thank you for your prayers, faith, love, service, compassion, and hope. I do not know how long I will need to walk this particular path, but I know I can walk it if you are there by my side.
