MRI on the liver today
We moved off the icu to the regular pediatric floor. Doug's chest tube is still putting out too much so he will have that til sat probably. He did get to have the epideral and catheter out so less tubes :) The swelling in his neck has stayed down because of the drainage tube.
He had an MRI on his liver today. There is concern that there might be cancer inside. The official results aren't back yet but the dr said unofficially it looks promising. The mass looks like another benign clump of blood vessels. There's a medical term for that but I forgot. Mel, where are you when I need you? :) We really really hope that is what it is. Doug is exhausted tonight - laying still in the MRI really wore him out. So he is already asleep (its 9pm). We'll report more tomorrow.
That is encouraging news! Keep hanging in there in prayer! Everyone I can find here in Iowa is praying for you! ( You know, when they're not chasing cows, slopping hogs, shucking corn, and washing out their old timey neckerchiefs.)
ReplyDeleteMike says that term could be hemangioma, yes?
ReplyDeleteyes that is the correct term :)
