I apologize for not updating the blog after Thursday's appointment. I was waiting until today's appointment to be able to give more information about what is going on.
The doctors a Huntsman have not seen the tumor growth in the scans that the doctor in New York saw. They see some "post surgical developments", but do not think it is cancer growth. What they do see appears to be getting smaller, not bigger. So, they are still working with the doctors in New York to come to an agreement on what the next step should be.
They say that radiation and chemotherapy are the choices they are considering. They have not said how long or how much of either one. So, for now I am enjoying the break and trying to spend good quality time with the family. The kids are growing up so fast and I do not want to miss a moment of it.
The Huntsman doctors are supposed to call later this week with a proposal for continued treatment. Please pray for us that we will make the correct choice.
We are not sure if another NY trip is in the future, but we will continue to pray for guidance so we are led the right direction. We know that if we go forward in faith that all will work together for our good and growth. Heavenly Father knows what we need in order to be worthy to enter His kingdom. I hope I am humble enough to learn the lessons that I need to learn to be with my family in eternity.
One of my favorite things is to hear my children pray for me each day. It gives me strength and courage to go forward and live my life the best that I can - to be the best that I can.
Thank you for all your love and support. We are so grateful to be surrounded by so many loving and kind people. You are example to us. We hope to lift others as you have lifted us.
