Communication is a wonderful thing - when it happens!

I had a CT scan today and an appointment with the radiation oncologist.  The scan went well.  Once you have had 3 or 4, it becomes second nature.  However, the 'wet your pants' feeling is a part I cannot quite get used to.

The appointment with the radiation oncologist was not nearly as productive as the scan was.  First of all, he (and other that were with him) could not see the nodules that my NY doctor said he saw.  This was confusing to them so they are going to do a more thorough review of the scans.  Secondly, he was not aware of the data that MSKCC had that showed radiation to the abdomen was beneficial in my situation.  Needless to say, he was frustrated and was going to call our doctor and get on the same page.

I go back on Thursday to meet with my regular Huntsman doctor.  By then they are supposed to have answers as to whether the cancer is really growing back or not.  They should have a 'what do we do now' plan for me.

In some ways this is a relief.  It gives me hope that he cancer may not be growing back after all and that this happened because we were not supposed to go to NY again at this time.  We will enjoy another day and try not to think about it.

I have often heard that we do not always understand the path that Heavenly Father has in store for us to take.  We just have to have faith to keep in the path and take whatever twists and turns come our way.  The path will lead us to out Father in Heaven, to be with Him as eternal families.  I truly feel my Savior's love.  He is has surrounded me with angels.  He is always there when I turn to Him.  He is there for you too.

Thanks again for all the love and support.  We will keep you posted on what happens on Thursday.
