Wonderful Easter Gift

Hello Everyone - I hope this blog post finds everyone in good spirits; full of hope and joy this Easter week.

(Again, I apologize for not updating the blog more often.  I have found that my mentality falls into the "No news is good news" camp.  Thanks for your patience in that regard.)

On Wednesday, I went up to Huntsman for the long awaited PET scan.   All went according to procedure and we were expecting to have to wait a few days to get the results.  Not so.

Angela got a call from Huntsman saying the results were in from the scan.  She had Huntsman send the results to the Radiation Oncologist, Dr. Barney, so he could review the scans and the report to see how effective the radiation was.

!!!!!!AWESOME NEWS!!!!!!

Dr. Barney said that he sees NO SIGNS OF THE TUMORS : )

Wahooooooooooooooooooo!!!

We call Dr. Barney the tumor "Sniper".  Those three tumors were the only identified sites of disease.

We are feeling very blessed.  Thank you for all the prayers, thoughts, and pleadings in our behalf.  We consider this our Easter Miracle.  Jesus Christ suffered for all and was resurrected so that we can be comforted in all things and one day be resurrected ourselves.  I know this is true.

In know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are real.  They love us and watch over us.  I know that not all diseases are cured in this life and some are required to suffer much more than I.  I am just so thankful I am allowed more time here on this earth.  I hope that I use it well.  My heart is full and I want to celebrate life each day and never take it for granted.

Next week I meet with the other oncologists to see what the plan is moving forward.  I  know that we will be inspired as to the best course of action moving forward. I will post next week after we know what we are doing- until then, it will be partying all night long : ). 

Again, thank you for all your thoughts and prayers.  I have felt and continue to feel the power of your faith and love for me and my family.
